At Huruma Cocoa, transparency is an essential part of our promise.

We provide lot-level information so our clients know more about the organic cocoa they are purchasing. In addition, sample lots are independently tested by an independent cocoa laboratory in the United Kingdom. This process helps verify quality and provides added assurance that each shipment meets a high standard before it reaches our buyers. We want our clients to receive cocoa beans they can trust, supported by information and independent testing rather than guesswork.

"Huruma" is a Swahili word which means compassion. This is why we intentionally reinvest in the communities that grow our cacao, helping support long-term wellbeing where the beans are produced. Our proceeds also go to sponsoring the rescue of young women from exploitation, providing them with a safe and secure living, protection, and access to education. So they may pursue a noble life of their choosing.
